Renee Burgess believes the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is a departure from our American ideals, and a failure to recognize and protect a core protection for women in this country to make their own health care decisions. Renee believes it cannot stand, and is fighting to restore the right of all women to make their own health care decisions.
Renee Burgess has been an advocate for women’s health and reproductive justice her entire life. Renee has both a profound reverence for life and an abiding respect for choice. She fundamentally believes that health care is a human right, and that health care decisions should be left between a patient and their doctor.
Renee Burgess knows that it’s not enough to support policies, you must take action to enact them. Renee has brought together communities around Irvington and Essex County to invest in a shared vision of our future. She’s worked with leaders to deliver tangible results and will take that energy to the state house.
Renee Burgess recognizes that things have gotten harder for families, and for many in New Jersey, the American dream has never felt more out of reach. That’s why she believes that we need to rebuild an economy that works for everyone by creating good paying jobs, protecting the dignity of work, and fighting for fair wages and equitable employment practices in the workplace for all of New Jersey.
