I want to thank the County Committee of the 28th Legislative district for their vote of confidence; I am honored and humbled. I will work hard to make 28th a better place to live, work and play.
My vision is to be a driving force of change in in the 28th Legislative district along with my Assembly partners. By electing more Democratic pro-choice men and women to state office, we will consistently infuse our government with leaders who will drive change. Change that truly matters today, tomorrow and forever.
Together we will strengthen our democracy by making it more representative, by collaboration, improving the deliberative process, encouraging a new style of leadership, and building greater trust in our elected leaders.
I will serve as a decision maker who will genuinely and enthusiastically fight for greater opportunity and better lives for the People I represent. Women continue to be underrepresented at every level of elected office. No woman should be told she can’t make decisions about her own body. When women’s rights are under attack, we must all fight back!
A good leader not only inspires her team; she also inspires the world. Learning what it takes to be a great leader is a process that requires courage—the courage to realize other people’s potential and want them to have personal success in life as much as you want success in your own life.
Change is not an easy process, but it can be initiated individually. Our state needs motivation to deal with challenges, and requires courageous people who can initiate such a change in our Country.
No country can ever truly flourish if it stifles the potential of its women and deprives itself of the contributions of half of its citizens.
